Monday Poetry

Each week Room 17 write wonderful poetry. Here are some examples from today's efforts! Impressive writing don't you think!

Listening

lying in bed
as my blood
pumps
quickly
listen to the noise
beep,beep,beep
the sounds surrounding
are deafening
struggling to breath
beep,beep,beep,beep
sounds growing louder
heart pounding
gasping for breath
beeeeeeeeeeeeeep
then suddenly peace
sinking into eternal darkness

Max Best,
Opawa School

Lying on the soft bed.
My blood pumps loudly through my veins.

Listen to the sounds
My breathing
My heart beat
The silent drumming in my ears.

Until my eyes start to close.

Stopping.

Harder to stay awake.

Still listening.

A strange buzzing sound is heard.

Louder and louder
Until it fades into the distance

Finally Peace

Made By Angel        Opawa school.

Peaceful

Lying in the warm silky soft sand.
My mind simulates the tides unpredictable characteristics.
My mind tends to delve into an unrealistic world of the MR whippy Jingle
That unfamiliar sound brings my wandering mind back to harsh reality.
My salivating mouth is satisfied by the melting ambrOsia called ice cream.
